RSBU attaches a great deal of importance to sport activities according to its predetermined goals. The blind, more than other people, require all sorts of different physical activities due to particularity of their handicap and limited mobility. Much of it can be accomplished through sports.
The most represented sport discipline among blind and partially sighted population in RS is bowling which has been continually organized since 1997. when the first republic championship took place. The most attractive and demanding game for the blind is goal-ball which, after years of absence, is being reactivated and the first republic championship is scheduled in Septembre. This is also official paralympic sport dicipline and is acknowledged as one of the authentic game inherent to the blind. Although practicable by the blind, athletics and swimming are poorly present at us.
